Why Play Florida USSSA Baseball?
What criteria do you consider when selecting a tournament to play in? Is it location, price, format, awards or maybe what's the reward to your team; in other words, if you finish high enough in the final standings, what do you get!
Let's address each of these possible determining factors one by one.
Location: Florida USSSA Baseball hosts EVENTS (not tournaments) from Miami to Leesburg and points in between. If there is not one schedule near you, travel a little ways...you will not be disappointed.
Price: As other organizations continue to raise prices and hit you with multiple registration and sanction fees, Florida USSSA tries to keep its entry fees as reasonable and as low as possible and because we are exclusively USSSA sanctioned, you only have to pay one yearly registration fee. For most events hosted by Florida USSSA Baseball, 6u - 9U is no more than $250, 10U - 12U no more than $350, 13U - 14U is no more than $400 and 15U and above is between $400 and $450. USSSA NIT and State Championship Tournaments are slightly higher because of the extra costs involved with running these high profile events. USSSA Super NIT and World Series entry fees are set by USSSA. Compare our prices, we are the best deal in town.
Format: At Florida USSSA Qualifiers, all teams advance to the Championship Bracket after pool play. We try to do the same at USSSA NITs also. USSSA Super NIT and World Series formats are set by USSSA.
Awards: Florida USSSA Baseball always gives out high quality trophies and awards. We emphasize the individual player's awards not the manager's team award. After all, the game is for the players...isn't it?
Rewards (Berths): This may be the single largest determining factor for you and your team. What's in it for your tema...we award the top 25% of teams in the final standings USSSA berths. Why USSSA? We know that USSSA offers better post season World Series options than any other brand of baseball. USSSA is the only National Association (not regional) that offers World Series in four completely seperate classifications of play (i.e.; Major, AAA, AA & All-Star). USSSA is also the only association that offers Wrold Series in 13 different age divisions, from 6U all the way through 18U. USSSA offers "REAL" World Series with 40 to 60+ teams per age from 20 to 40+ states, not 20 or 25 teams from 4 to 5 states in all ages combined. USSSA's World Series are so large they can't run all ages at one location. Have you ever played in an event with 50 teams from 30 different states just in your age division? That's a World Series! So ask yourself what reward (berth) you're playing for before you enter your next event.
